ISOPA/ALIPA: Initial comments on proposal of European Commission to establish a new exposure limit for diisocyanates

ISOPA/ALIPA welcome the Commission’s proposal to establish a harmonized OEL for diisocyanates in the EU. Today, EU Member States have different OEL levels for individual diisocyanates across the Union. We welcome the approach to establish a level playing field in the EU.

We note that the values proposed by the Commission ⁽¹⁾ reflect a consensus on an EU OEL for diisocyanates reached within its Advisory Committee on Safety and Health at work (ACSH) by its representatives from Member State governments, workers’ and employers’ organisations.
